Let’s Talk Why I Include Styling Assistance for Every Client (and Why It Actually Matters)
Wardrobe Can Make or Break a Session (Yep, I Said It)
Let’s just call it out outfits matter. Like, a lot.
You could have the cutest kids and the dreamiest golden hour light, but if everyone’s in neon graphic tees and gym shorts... it’s giving chaos, not cinematic.
But don’t panic! This is why I don’t just leave you to scroll Pinterest in a panic at 11 p.m. the night before your session. I help you. Every step of the way.
No Idea What to Wear? Good. That’s What I’m Here For.
You don’t need to have some styled wardrobe ready to go. You don’t even have to love shopping (though if you do, we can bond over it).
When you book with me, you get access to Style and Select, my magical little styling assistant that helps us build your session wardrobe without the meltdown.
You’ll answer a few fun questions, get outfit combos curated just for your vibe, and be able to shop directly from the links if needed. Easy-peasy.
Introducing: Style and Select (aka the Pinterest Board You Actually Need)
This online tool is like having a personal stylist who gets the vibe:
Flowy, boho, earthy, but also functional
Pieces that move in the wind (swoon)
Layered neutrals, texture, and soft pops of color
Clothes that photograph beautifully and let you chase toddlers
We pick the outfits starting with mama first because let’s be honest, if mama feels good, everyone’s good.
Why We Start with Mom (and Then Build from There)
Hear me out: your dress sets the whole visual tone.
From there, we build around it adding partner, kiddos, and accessories to bring it all together without looking “matchy-matchy.”
Think: coordinated without looking like you're going to a themed family reunion.
What About the Kids? Dads? Dogs?
Yes to all of them.
The goal is to keep it simple and true to your family's style. That might mean layering textures, using neutral colors, or adding one bold pop like mustard overalls or a burgundy dress blowing in the wind (sound familiar? ).
Dad can rock jeans and a henley, or linen pants and a button up. And if your dog’s invited, you bet we’ll make sure their bandana doesn’t clash.
The Vibe: Effortless, Earthy, and You
This isn’t about looking like a magazine ad. It’s about creating a visual story that feels like you wild kiddos, messy hugs, and all.
I love earthy tones, soft movement, and pieces that don’t compete with the emotion in the frame. We’re creating images that you’ll want to print big and hang forever, not stash in a drawer and cringe at in five years.
Styling Isn’t About Perfection—It’s About Feeling Like Yourself
At the end of the day, I want you to feel comfortable, confident, and connected. The right outfit doesn’t just photograph well it makes you feel amazing. And that? That shows up in every frame.
So let’s ditch the stress, trust the process, and build a look that reflects your magic.
