What Is Lifestyle Newborn Photography (and Why I Love It)?
Lifestyle newborn photography is all about capturing your baby as they truly are tiny, wrinkly, snuggly, and full of sleepy (or sometimes squirmy) magic. Forget stiff poses and weird props. This isn’t a catalog shoot.
Instead, it’s about documenting those sacred early days in a relaxed, emotional way. The way your baby curls up in your arms. The soft stretch of their fingers. The way your partner looks at you while you look at them.
I fell in love with this kind of storytelling because it feels honest and let’s be real, newborn life is a beautiful mess. Let’s capture that.
My Fort Worth Studio: Boho, Neutral, and Full of Natural Light
I rent a cozy little studio in Fort Worth that feels like a warm hug. Think soft linens, earthy textures, neutral tones, and big windows that let the light pour in. It’s quiet, calm, and designed to feel like an extension of your home (if your home had perfect light and zero dishes in the sink).
Everything is styled to enhance the softness and emotion of newborn life. You’ll feel safe and comfortable just sinking into the couch with your baby.
No Props, No Posing—Just Real Moments
No baskets, no over the top headbands, no baby in a flowerpot setups. That’s just not my thing.
Instead, we go for gentle, natural moments baby in your arms, nestled into your chest, or curled up on a cozy blanket. We follow baby’s lead and capture the magic that’s already there.
How We Keep Baby (and You) Happy
My newborn sessions are slow and baby led. We take breaks for feeding, soothing, diaper changes whatever your little one needs.
And mamas, I see you. You just birthed a human. You’re tired, emotional, and maybe haven’t even brushed your hair. That’s okay here. I’ll gently guide you into flattering angles, help with wardrobe, and make sure you feel beautiful and seen without ever asking you to “smile for the camera.”
Styling Baby + Family for Timeless Vibes
I provide personal styling guidance with Style and Select, and I also offer a handful of boho, flowy dresses from my growing client closet. I recommend soft, neutral colors and natural textures that complement the cozy, emotional feel of the session.
And don’t worry I’ll help you put everything together so the whole family looks connected without feeling “matchy-matchy.”
